Swedish Gustavian Bureau 19th Century Painted

Large 19th Century Swedish painted and carved bureau in the Gustavian manner.

The carved fall flap enclosed a fitted interior comprising four columns of miniature drawersand storage. Fitted four graduated serpentine front long drawers below with original handles, dovetailed jointing and original plank interiors. Raised on carved feet.

Supplied with original key – locking mechanism in working order.

Evidence of historic woodworm – no longer active though treated as a precaution.
