6 Antique Italian Dining Chairs Walnut Leather

A fine set of six Italian 19th century chairs.

Constructed from solid walnut with hand chiselled carvings to the rails and stiles.

The leather backs and seats with brass & copper studding, with monogrammed initials to back panels and raised on slender turned legs and stretchers.

Italy, circa 1880.

Alterations to the stretchers of two chairs and come studs missing. Evidence of historic woodworm though no longer active and treated as a precaution.
